sales executive

OIP is looking for sales professionals to join our Business Development team. Our innovative products, award winning services, and decade long partnerships have made us one of the most recognized and respected companies in the specialty lines insurance industry. As a territory sales executive, you will be responsible for prospecting, creating leads, bringing on new clients and growing our existing client base within your assigned region. You will serve as the subject matter expert over your territory and partner with business development colleagues to drive sales goals, gather competitive intelligence, and advance the sales cycle. This role includes international travel, predominantly to the U.S., a generous base salary, as well as quarterly uncapped bonus earnings.

Qualifications

  • Aggressive self-starter with strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue goals
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to thrive in a challenging, fast-paced environment while remaining poised and professional under pressure
  • Proficient in English with extraordinary communication skills, both written and oral
  • Exude a positive, winning mentality with a strong desire to understand the fundamentals of insurance, willingness to learn the details, and eagerness to discover client issues
  • Ability to craft and deliver a compelling, succinct, and insightful presentation, focusing on the benefits that our client will receive
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with an ability to manage competing deadlines while working independently
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and proficient in building and executing multi-touch sales campaigns: email, social media, phone, video, in-person visits
  • Demonstrate attention to detail with strong writing, grammar, and proofreading skills
  • Understand sales and marketing fundamentals
  • Team oriented with the ability to positively interact with internal and external team members – reliable, honest, outgoing, friendly, approachable
  • Open to direct feedback, listen and seek clarification and committed to sell, win and grow
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate consistent prospecting activities by phone and email
  • Lead virtual or onsite demonstrations to executives and stakeholders
  • Maintain complete and accurate records within the CRM system
  • Become an expert in our technology, services, client needs, competitors, and industry trends
  • Involve internal subject matter experts as needed to maximize value for prospects
  • Manage quota and activities to exceed monthly and quarterly goals
  • Build rapport with warm leads and existing contacts within a geographic territory to generate a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities and advance leads resulting in meetings with company executives and sales teams
  • Approximately 25% US/UK travel attending industry conferences and prospect/client visits
  • Define and execute strong sales campaigns in line with territory objectives
  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive opportunities, market intel and industry activity
  • Ability to articulate OIP’s value proposition to prospective and existing clients and successfully secure new business
  • Collaborate with all levels and departments in a positive and successful manner
